We are looking for a talented and dedicated Stone Sculptor to join our creative team. As a Stone Sculptor, you will be responsible for designing, carving, and finishing stone pieces for a variety of artistic, architectural, and functional purposes. You will work with different types of stone, such as marble, granite, limestone, and sandstone, using both traditional hand tools and modern power equipment. Your work may include creating statues, monuments, decorative architectural elements, gravestones, and custom commissions for private clients or public spaces.
The ideal candidate has a strong artistic vision, excellent manual dexterity, and a deep understanding of stone properties and sculpting techniques. You should be able to interpret client briefs, create sketches or models, and translate these into finished stone works. Attention to detail, patience, and a commitment to safety are essential, as the work often involves heavy materials and potentially hazardous tools.
You will collaborate with architects, designers, and other artists, and may be involved in the installation of finished pieces on-site. Knowledge of historical and contemporary sculpting styles, as well as the ability to restore or replicate existing works, is highly valued. Experience with digital design tools and CNC machinery is a plus, but not required.
